Whether you’re greeting our customers, loading them onto the ferry or serving in one of our terminals, these roles are vital to our customers journey and to our business.

Our shoreside colleagues are passionate about providing a First-Class Customer Service and are responsible for the smooth operation of our terminals and surrounding areas. Our Operation managers, shunters, loaders, check-in staff, cleaners and terminal colleagues have a broad mix of responsibilities and offer training opportunities for further development.

Onboard

If you’re interested in a career at sea, or have a passion for the marine industry, Red Funnel offers a variety of roles onboard our Vehicle Ferry and Hi-Speed Red Jet service. Our onboard crews play a vital role in keeping our business running 24/7, and with plenty of training opportunities for further development, your career at sea will be off to a fantastic start.

Each onboard role is vital to the smooth running of our service, from the masters and Commanders, who sail us safely between East/West Cowes and Southampton to the onboard engineers, deck hands, mates, cabin attendants, service crew and maintenance… each ensuring we arrive safely at our destination while providing a First-Class Service to our customers.

Central Offices

If you’re interested in a marine-based career, but prefer your feet firmly on land, our office-based roles are for you. Our central teams work behind-the scenes to ensure that all our colleagues and the business are fully supported, covering areas such as marketing and Sales, human resources, Planning, safety and more.

Our central office teams look after both commercial and operational areas within the business, this means you could be planning the rotas and keeping on top of our health & safety procedures to working on the next marketing campaign, managing sales accounts or analysing the latest booking data. There are many office-based opportunities covering all areas.
