We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us as a full time Loader in our East Cowes Terminal.

You will work to build and proactively manage a highly motivated and enthusiastic team, whose role is to ensure that our customers receive a great experience whilst travelling through our operation safely.

You’ll be responsible for the loading logistics, deck configuration and banding levels, in conjunction with our deck crew, whilst vehicles are being boarded onto our ferries. You must have dynamic customer service skills with the ability to lead a team in a range of situations, including potential disruption of service or really busy days.

As the first line of communication with passengers and a range of internal colleagues, you’ll be confident, articulate and driven in order to achieve in line with budgetary and productivity targets.

Other responsibilities include:

• Your own and others safety within the marshalling yard
• Keeping passengers fully informed in changes to schedule or inconveniences
• Assisting in ensuring staffing levels meet the demands of the business
• Acting as the appointed Fire Warden in emergency situations
• Ensuring all daily checks are carried out in line with company procedure
• To cover the operation at either East Cowes or Southampton Car Ferry Terminals

What we’re looking for from you:

• Experience of supervisory or team leading roles
• Ability to plan and organise effectively

• Experience in the following industries would be beneficial: airline/traffic control/train signalling/marine logistics
• Full UK Driving licence
