We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Procurement Manager to join the Finance team on a permanent basis to manage the supply of products and services across the business, to drive cost savings, realise operational efficiencies and improve quality, in-line with Red Funnel's overall strategic objectives. This is a brand-new role, so a unique opportunity to develop the role and make it your own.
Main duties include:
- Develop and embed an end-to-end procurement process cross the organisation.
- Manage all procurement activities including but not limited to: pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management, whilst working closely with the relevant departments as necessary to deliver within the timescales required.
- Review existing supplier agreements and ensure they meet the standards as outlined in our ESG strategy.
- Manage all policy and procedure around supply of products & services to the organisation and ensure process is maintained, communicated and being followed.
- Identify opportunities to continually drive performance and business results through effective supply chain management.
- Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders within the organisation and external supply partners.
What we’re looking for:
- At least 5 years’ experience of both strategic and operational supply chain management with the ability to balance these two elements of the role.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a business-related field.
- Proven experience of working collaboratively across an organisation at a strategic level; the ability to be detail focused (as needed); and strong communication skills, demonstrating a confident & professional approach.
- Ability to demonstrate social & economic responsibility by behaving ethically and inclusively, considering social and economic impact at all times.
- Membership to the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply or relevant similar qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience within the Maritime sector (together with working knowledge of ‘Ship manager’ (DNV) Purchasing) are also desirable.
