We are currently looking for a full time Fleet On-Board Services Officer on a permanent basis. As a trained On-Board Services Officer working under the guidance and instruction of the Passenger Operations Manager and Ship's Master, you will be working as part of a diverse and unique team to assist the Passenger Operations Management team and other On-Board Services Officers in managing and delivering a smooth and efficient operation of the food, beverage, retail and premium services and passenger facilities on board the company's raptor-class vessels.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the wider Passenger Operations team and working in collaboration with other departments to provide a safe, high quality, customer focused and financially viable service, ensuring safety, first class service and proficient leadership of the services team.
Other main duties include assisting with the recruitment, induction and initial safety and job familiarisation training of new Passenger Services crew and collaborating with the other On-Board Services Officers to ensure prescribed service levels and high standards are continually met. The post holder will also support with staff development and performance management, the implementation of new F&B Retail initiatives and other administrational tasks where required.
Applicants must already hold the necessary certification for the On-Board Services Officer role and should be prepared to cover rostered shifts at short notice as and when required. Additionally, applicants should be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, together with excellent communication and commercial acumen.
Hours are 41 hours per week average, working days and times as agreed with the Passenger Operations Manager. When covering shifts, this can vary between early starts, late finishes and night shifts.
The minimum certification required for this role is as follows:
* A valid ENG1 certificate
* Raptor Safety Familiarisation Stage 1-4
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
* STCW Medical First Aid Proficiency at Sea with AED Training
* STCW Personal Sea Survival Techniques
* STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility
* Crowd Management
* Fire Awareness and Practical Fire Extinguisher Training
